Kuchisake-onna (a woman with her mouth cut) is a legend of Japanese mythology. It's about a woman who was murdered and disfigured by her husband, becoming a yokai (evil spirit) who returned for revenge. Legend has it that long ago there was a beautiful but vain woman who married a samurai. The beautiful woman was sought by many men and used to cheat on her husband.
